I received my first Stitch Fix box and I was very excited!

 What do we have here?!

You get a nice note from your Stylist.

Along with a note are pictures and suggested styling options for the five pieces sent to you.

Pixley Martina Slub Knit Open Cardigan | $48

I really liked the softness of this cardigan and the waterfall neckline was different. However, this cardigan was super huge and the sleeves went past my hands by a good 3-4 inches. I have plenty of black cardigans already, so had this come in a color (this is available in a coral, burgundy, turquoise, and navy) and in a smaller size (like a M or L) instead of an XL, I would have kept it. The fabric weight is more for spring/summer and don’t quite think it’s appropriate to send out to someone living in New England in the dead of winter.

Market & Spruce Elaine Ikat Print Pocket-Front Knit Shirt | $44

This top was super soft, love an Ikat print, but the colors were all wrong. I had put I’m a size XL in my profile and after receiving this Stitch Fix, I think it’s safe to say I’m a size L in Stitch Fix. The top was too big. It comes in a navy blue and magenta pink. I would have rather that color combination than this washed out pastel number.

Pixley Edmond Chevron Print Henley Shirt | $48

This top fit really well. I liked the fabric. But HATED the colors. Orange and purple? Again, I wish the stylist would have read my profile and checked my Pinterest style board. This shirt comes in a pink and blue print, which I would have liked much better.

Market & Spruce Chaimbers Cowl Neck Knit Top | $46

I hate cowl necks. The neck was flacid like a dead fish. The top was too plain and the fabric too cheap to be worth $46. I could easily find this top for $16.99 at Marshall’s.

Market & Spruce is a brand only carried by Stitch Fix.

Kut From the Kloth Kate Boyfriend Jeans | $88

I was most excited about the jeans. I really needed a good pair and thought I don’t want to pay $88, it would be worth it if they fit well and were of excellent quality. I had filled out the style profile asking only for high-waisted jeans. These jeans were a mid-rise. Wish my stylist had actually read my style profile.

So, sadly there was not one item I liked enough to keep. I lost my $20 styling fee. I’m not sure if I will try a second time because I really was not impressed with the items picked for me. I really felt like they didn’t check my Pinterest style board or read my style profile. The pieces were all pretty plain and I could easily find at Marshall’s or TJ Maxx. I wish the jeans had worked out because high waisted jeans are hard to find.
